COMMANDER & PRESIDENT’S COLUMN Our prayers go out to all military away from their families during the holidays. Please remember they are there fighting for our freedom and keep them in your prayers. Thank you all for another great year here at Post 4087!! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year! Hope to see you around sometime during the holiday season. Dan, our thoughts and prayers with you and your family during this time. God Bless Dan Burrows, Commander Beverly McColl, President Ladies Auxiliary POST CHAPLAIN’S CORNER Dear Comrades, a lot has been happening this year especially to some of our members. For a start, Reverend Kleintank is having heart problems like irregular heartbeat; he is on Coumadin and is to have an appointment with a cardiologist. I’ll try to keep you informed on his condition. Also, Bill Goodall is having very serious heart problems; he has been on antibiotics and is still waiting for a defibrillator. Please keep these guys in your prayers. ‘Tis the season of giving to our families and friends and those in need. It does not have to be material things but also giving of our prayers and talents which we have been so richly endowed with. As always let us continue offering our prayers and support to our troops both here and abroad. God bless each one of us. Post Chaplain Joe Masson AUXILIARY CHAPLAIN God took them home; it was his will, but in our hearts we love them still. Their memories are as dear today as in the hour they passed away. We often sit and think of them when we are all alone for memory is the only friend that grief can call its own. Our prayers and our thoughts go out to all our members and their families. We also send out our prayers to all our service members, God be with them and keep them safe. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Your Auxiliary Chaplain Amanda 810-653-4164 CLEAN KITCHEN On Saturday the 8th the Ladies Auxiliary volunteers will be arriving to the Post kitchen approximately 9:00 am. PEARL HARBOR DAY December 7, 1941, taught us to be prepared and alert. At 7:55 am 100 Japanese planes and submarines struck the United States Pacific fleet of 86 ships at Pearl Harbor. The battleship Arizona sunk. This started World War II and ended four years later with the atomic bomb and 1,000,000 American servicemen killed or wounded. The moral of Pearl Harbor Day is preparedness and vigilance today and always. Americanism Chairman Rita Stevens CANCER Our prayers and our thoughts go out to all our members who have had or are being treated for cancer. May this coming year be one of sunshine and happiness.
