Must be a newspaper which has undertaken a campaign on a social issue. Must show evidence of reporting proactively on relevant social issues to
create a positive impact in Greater Western Sydney, within a locality or across the region.
Exceptional Community Partnership Project in a Local Government Area
Must show evidence of how stakeholders have worked in partnership to
achieve an extraordinary outcome for the community of Greater Western Sydney.
Must provide evidence of the positive impact this project has achieved in
Greater Western Sydney, within a specific Local Government Area.
Exceptional Community Partnership Project Across a Region
Must show evidence of how stakeholders have worked in partnership to
achieve an extraordinary outcome for the community of Greater Western Sydney.
Must provide evidence of the positive impact this project has achieved in
Greater Western Sydney, across a region (i.e. across two or more Local Government Areas).
Nominations for ZEST 2013 will be opened tomorrow 24th of October, with ZEST launched at the Casula Powerhouse later that day. For more information about ZEST, please contact Tom Nance, ZEST Awards Coordinator Social Enterprise Reducing Homelessness Forum Over 80 people attended the Social Enterprise ending Homelessness Forum on 16 October at the Riverside Theatre. The Forum was a joint project of Western Sydney Community Forum, Homelessness NSW, Parramatta Council and Social Enterprise
Funding Australia for Anti-Poverty Week. Mark Daniels from Social Traders opened the forum with an inspiring account about his personal journey working with Social Enterprises to reduce homelessness in Melbourne. More Affordable Housing Faster Seminar What are governments and community organisations doing to increase the rate at which affordable housing is being built to reduce the numbers of people experiencing housing stress? How can the community contribute to help affordable housing become available sooner and be part of the solution? A one day forum organized by the Western Sydney Housing Coalition on Wednesday 14 November at Auburn Centre for Community will explore these issues. Speakers from government, community and academia will present short presentations to stimulate audience participation in developing solutions for Western Sydney.
